The IPOD-RC cable provides stereo RCA connectors from the dock connector port. Using the dock connector output instead of the headphone jack provides a much cleaner, unclipped fixed-level signal output that can be used to feed the auxiliary input of a car stereo or other device. Also features +12 volt power and ground wires to keep the iPod charged while connected. Compatible with all iPods featuring the dock connector, but only charges Firewire (12V charging) compatible iPod models.  USB (5V charging) iPod models require a charging adapter.

Note: This cable charges only Firewire compatible iPods.  All new iPods with only USB compatible charging (iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod Nano 4G, iPod Classic 120GB, and iPod Touch 2G) will not charge with this cable unless an adapter is used with it.
